Oh Bromeo, Bromeo where for art no homeo.

Hey There,

Long time no talk. haven't updated this in a while (cough cough since June). I just wanted to put up an update about the fact that I am not going to update this blog anymore. I realized that I have like 500 social media platforms and I can't maintain them or make them the best they can be. I have decided to make my tumblr blog my main blog and stop the blogspot (blog blog  blog blog). I know this will really only affect me, but hey I like to pretend that someone might be following what I do. No one is though.. I'm fine with that.. Completely fine.

Here's a drawing I did though. Might as well end on a high note.

 Peace out!

My crowning achievement is having the *pop* solo while singing Lollipop at school

Hey there. Yes the title of this post is true.

Right now I'm listening to this playlist and loving it. Girl groups from the sixties are wonderful. They make me wanna start my group with matching outfits and kick ass harmonies. Oh! and synchronized dance moves that involve doing various creative arm motions. Ahhhh a girl can dream. Anyways, I have done so more paintings so I thought I would share them as well. OHHH and also something else exciting is happening soon. I AM GOING TO SEE ARCTIC FUCKING MONKEYS!!!!! AHHHHHHHH THEY ARE SO AMAZING.

SOOo yaaaa. ARCTIC MONKEYS.

ARCTIC MONKEYS
ARCTIC MONKEYSSSSS

Other than that I think I'm done sharing.

Mooooovies and Tiny Things

Once again hello.

I always feel weird starting with a greeting, but then if I don't put one I feel rude and no one wants to feel rude now do they? I will continue to do it I suppose and just have a vague sense of unrest. Who knows what I talk about really. But I have some good news. I made an even smaller zine. It half the size of the first one to be exact. There's a good tutorial on rookie magazine that shows you how to fold a zine using one piece of paper. I suggest you use it and make your own zine.

I made this lil' itty bitty zine about my favourite movies in the whole world and I included a quote from each movie. I recommend you watch every movie on this list and then watch them again because they are so good. Also when I made this zine I realized something about my taste. I like magical movies that make life look beautiful and artistic and fun. I guess it says something about how I see the world and how good I am at being realistic (really bad at it). I think it's better to try and see the world as magical and beautiful because the alternative is just depressing. I'll keep my head in the clouds and leave agendas and spreadsheets for others.

Anyways that's all for now,

What Is a Circus Bandit?

Hello there folks.

I am here to answer the question that so many people (no one) has been asking. What is a Circus Bandit? Obviously this question is very difficult and for me to just write it out would be far too complicated. So I have done something quite amazing. I made a zine! My very first. It's quite small, but let me tell you... it packs a metaphorical punch.

If you want to see the back cover then you should probably buy the zine so you can find out the wonders of the last page.

I hope you feel informed and willing to break the law,

PAINT INGS

YOYOYO

I have been painting some paintings lately because I can and also because I am going to be selling paintings and other such things at festivals and farmers markets and online (hahahahhahaha ya right). They are all quite small, but I think they look alright. I never know what to say when I post pictures. So without further ado here are the paintings!!! *applause from audience* *gasps* *faints*

So, like, ya those are the paintings. I'm freezing so I'm going to go.

A Sticky Situation (ha ha)

YO!

I am in the process of trying to make stickers, which means I have some new drawings to show. These drawings are little kawaii compared to my usual style, but I find I am drawn to Asian inspired drawings and culture more than usual these past few months. Although I've always liked Hello Kitty, so I guess it has been longer than a few months (more like my whole life).

In other news, I just downloaded music by James Blake and I am looking forward to listening to him even though I'm not sure what he actually sounds like. Also if you haven't listened to the band Foals, you should because they are awesome and my new favourite band. Also Tom Odell. Foals and Tom Odell. Look them up.

Plant Life

Well hello.

I have returned to my humble beginning and I am currently living at home for the summer. That means that there is no internet connection unless I want to struggle with dial up and wait an hour to upload one picture. With this in mind I have not attempted to even try. I have been drawing though so I thought I should share some of it with my wide audience now that I have an internet connection.

I started drawing house plants with faces on them. I am thinking of making these into stickers so that I can make my life more happy and planty.

I hope you enjoy life as much as these here plants.

I am eating pancakes.

Well hello

As the title of this blog post suggest I am, indeed, eating pancakes. I made them with my own two hands and that is how i am eating them because I don't have any clean cutlery. I am finally all done school this year so that's a big ol' plus. :) I had my last exam yesterday and now I have five days to pack up my entire room and go home to Thunder Bay. I haven't been drawing that much lately and I feel kind of weird about it. I have been embroidering though, so that's exciting. It is actually a lot easier than I thought it would be and it is all the rage with the kids these days. So far I have done four different embroidery projects or whatever they are called. The first is just a random mix of me testing out stitches and stuff, the second is a tiny cactus, the third says "satsuma, live wasp and nightmares", and the fourth is a face.

This brings me to my obsession as of late. His name is Richard Ayoade and he is hilarious. He is a comedian and the director of the movie Submarine and I love him. He's a comedic genius and possibly just a straight up genius. He is the reason why I embroidered satsuma, live wasp and nightmares.

In case you were confused by the second picture, no that is not embroidery, it is my bedroom. I just thought the two photos went well together.

That's all I have to say today.

Rotter

Bonjour.

Today was kind of a crappy day because I had an art history exam and I felt quite ill for it, but it was also a good day because it was sunny and I didn't have to wear a jacket. If I had to rate it out of ten I would give it a four and three quarters. That's enough of fractions, let move on to art! I just finished my photography class yesterday and in honor of that I am going to show the world what I have taken pictures of (exciting, I know).

Yes, you're right, it is rotten strawberries and an apple core! I'm also going to classify this as an obsession, even if I might call it more of an interest, but I just love fruit photography! I love when a it's completely staged and the colours are all pastel and lovely. That's what my original plan for this assignment was, but then I thought that this was more interesting and also I was hungry so I ate the apple.

I printed these photos onto 13x19 paper and they look really cool actually, but I feel weird hanging them on my wall. I did put up the apple core though. Oh! I also finished my video art project, but that one can't be uploaded because it requires eight screens to play it on (also it's kinda embarrassing).

Anyways, that's all I have to say in this post.

Feeling the pressure.

Hello!

As the title of this blog post suggests I am feeling the pressure. School is almost over and it is getting harder to focus on it when all I want to do is go to a beach (even though it is ridiculously cold out). I am currently working on my video project for class, as well as a photography project. I'm excited for those. Also I have to write to essays which is not exciting at all. Anyways, enough with the school talk. Here is a drawing of Audrey Hepburn.

That's all folks.

Repeat

Bonjour.

I am going to share a video today. Ooooh something new! Wow! So exciting! Your life must be so interesting! I made the video for my video art class. It is about my thinking patterns when I feel upset or depressed. I usually end up cycling through the same thoughts which somehow always end with something bad happening. Here is a visualization of this lovely, light topic.

Have a lovely day.

Here are some drawings from my sketchbook over the last few weeks or something like that. I don't know. I'm tired.

Have a good sleep.

Another!

Hey.

This is just a quick post to share one more fake portrait from my archive. It is done on the back of a cereal box because I am a true artist.

I hope you're having a swell day.

Fake Portraits

Hellooo.

It is my duty today to share with the world my addiction. No, it is not the one I have to sugary breakfast cereal and no, it is not the one to really long showers, it is my addiction to drawing and painting portraits. I don't know when this happened, but somehow I have developed a pattern of opening a sketchbook and drawing a face. I guess it's because I usually like the results and it is something I can do without looking at a reference (?). But I think it is getting out of hand and I need to branch myself out. I at least should draw a portrait of someone looking off to the side or with their hand up or something. I will now present the evidence to support my claims of addiction.

The last painting is what I used as a template for my gif, so that's why she could look familiar.

This is just the beginning of my collection, but I feel like more would be creepy.

I made a gif!

Hello starshine, the earth says hello!

The title of this post kind of gives away the topic sooo ya, I made a gif. Actually I made 3 gifs. I'm basically a professional. I know this isn't a very big deal in the whole grand scheme of the internet, but to me it feels very exciting and it makes me happy. I love gifs because they are like the moving pictures from Harry Potter. SOOO MAGICAL.

Here is the best gif I have made so far. I also put a gif on my about page that you can check out.

Pushing Up Daisies and Other Stuff

Bonjour.

Lately I have been watching a little show called "Pushing Up Daisies" and I LOVE IT. It stars the lovely Lee Pace (who plays Thranduil, which you already knew) and he is a pie maker who can wake the dead. The show is so weird and colourful and slightly morbid. It is a great combination. It seems like it was made for me. Sadly it only has two seasons :'( and I am almost done the second season. I haven't done an actual drawing for this because lately I haven't liked anything I have drawn so I am just going to post some pages from my sketchbook in which I reference the show.

In other news I am going to dye my hair red which should be interesting. I'm also listening to a playlist of Chromeo, Capital Cities, Vampire Weekend and MGMT so I'm feeling pretty funky. Which also reminds me of this picture I saw of the drums from an Arctic Monkeys show that said "THE FUNK MIGHT FRACTURE YOUR NOSE" and I just love that line so much. I will have to find a way to use it in my life.

I hope you sleep well tonight.

Photos for photo class (hooray)

Hello there.

I am going to expand my blog to include things that I have been doing because, hey, it's my blog and I can do what ever the frack I want. I make the rules! Yeah! So with that in mind I am going to share some photos that I have taken for my photography class. They are not the best, but I do find a few of them to be semi-pleasing to the eye and that's all anyone really wants in this world, right? Blogging at 3:54 in the morning is great...

I took these in two spots in Toronto. Around Bloor Street and around Kensington Market. That's where all the hip, young folks go. I even went into a record store.

So those are some of the gems I came up with. I'm quite happy with the last picture. I must admit.

Thinking...

Hello.

This is not an obsession, just a drawing I did today. It's about mermaids... Nothing else to say. :)
